I remember being asked as a child, “What do
you want to be when you grow up?” I would
answer, “I don’t know” and then go and
draw, play with LEGO and build geometric
objects. It seems I knew what I wanted to
be without knowing it.
James Howlett is a designer specialising in sustainable, user centred, emotionally
durable design. He uses wide ranging design stratagies on a diverse range of
projects, from product design through to site specific installations and systems
design. Hailing from Peterborough, James now lives in Falmouth, Cornwall
where he works at all levels of design from ideation and concept development
through to specification and manufacture.
